Budapest is the capital of Hungary!

Posted by Budapestagent | 13 Mar, 2008
Now that girl has a deep knowledge of geographics. She new "Turkey" is a country but not "Hungry". Anyways in her eyes Europe is a country as well and her answer for the question "Budapest is the capital of which country" would have been France... even though she was not sure if that is a country. Check it out, its unbelievable.

Biggest strikes in Hungary ever

Posted by Budapestagent | 22 Nov, 2007
Yesteraday were the biggest strikes of all times in Hungary. No tramp, bus, Metro or train was going anywhere between 6 in the morning and noon. I expected a big traffic on my way to work but what happened...? It was less than usualy. Maybe nobody went to work because of this. So in the end I was there faster than usual.

Gwen Stefani Concert in Budapest

Posted by Budapestagent | 20 Oct, 2007
Yesterday was the Gwen Stefani concert in Budapest and it was absolutly amazing. Gwen Stefani rocked the Budapest Sportarena till 11 p.m. with an amazing show, good dancers and some other extras like singing in the middle of the audience. Nevertheless the Sportarena was not completly sold out and it had to be devided in 2 parts to keep the atmosphere.
If you have the chance to see Gwen Stefani live somewhere around you some day, go there!

I have opened up a complete new section on Budapestagent.com. Under Information you will find now the section "Hungary information" where I want to talk a little bit about Hungary and Hungary related topics which are a bit different from the ones in Budapest such as hotels or properties.
Still this section is in the development but soon you will find decent information about a lot of things concerning Hungary but not Budapest.
Cheers

Under water

Both Rakparts in Budapest are closed due to a flud which came from Germany over Austria to Hungary. Additionally the Szabadság híd is closed, Kalvin tér as well and many many other construction works. This makes the complete city an absolute chaos.

Now it became true

Posted by Budapestagent | 29 Aug, 2007
I wrote several times that the Szabadság híd is closed. This time it is true. Last week the bridge was closed and thus another frequently traffic part of the city (after a part of the Budai rakpart and Kalvin tér) is closed due to the construction of the Budapest Metro line 4.
All transportation now leads either across Petőfi híd or Erzsébet híd which makes the daily way to work for many people become a horror trip because of the traffic.
Nevertheless soon the Budai Rakpart is supposed to be opened again which might help a little bit.
